WATER SAFETY EDUCATION
KISO Swim School highly values the importance of giving back through the sport of swimming. Across the globe, drowning rates continue to rise at baffling figures. This is an unfortunate consequence due to the lack of education on swimming safety, insufficient funds to attend swim classes or the pure absence of a swim lesson program in the area.
According to National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death, reaching approximately 388,000 annual deaths worldwide. That is a boggling 10 deaths per day. Facts show 96% of this astonishing total comes from not only lower income families, but low- and middle- income countries. The average victim's age ranges from 1 to 14 years old. There are ways to decrease these devastating statistics via school education, in-water safety programs, and pool construction to name a few.
Through our scholarship bucket with Hope Floats Foundation and a consistent outreach, KISO Swim School is dedicated to making a positive impact through the most secured prevention plan - swim lessons! Find out how you can be apart of it!
