POLICIES

Yes, every business has them. At KISO Swim School these policies help us with organization for both our families and coaches, in addition to ensuring a smooth operation when the feet get wet. We have policies in place for makeup classes, weather, pool regulations and billing. Please read the important points below that we require our clients to review before booking.

Weather

  • Outside temperature must be no lower than 65 degrees at the time of class to hold lessons as scheduled. Should a cancellation be made due to this uncontrolled weather activity, a complimentary makeup token will automatically be generated

  • Light rain is permissible as children are already wet. However, if there is heavy rain and wind or lightning within a 5 mile radius at the time of class, the class will be cancelled due to uncontrolled weather activity and a complimentary makeup token will automatically be generated. 

  • We know how Florida weather can be. All weather decisions are determined no earlier than 30 minutes prior to the class start unless our designated weather radar shows there is no possibility of change at an earlier time.

Pool Regulations

  • Pool temperature is the responsibility of the HOA, pool owner or renter. The water temperature must be no lower than 82 degrees at the time of class to hold lessons as scheduled. If class is cancelled due to lack of proper heating, the lesson is an unexcused absence. We ask that you please check the pool status at least 24 hours prior to your class start and notify of us of any change.

  • Pool chemical balance is the responsibility of the HOA, pool owner or renter. Water clarity, chlorine and Ph Levels must be at appropriate Florida Pool and Spa regulations at the time of class to hold lessons as scheduled. If class is cancelled due to lack of proper maintenance, the lesson is an unexcused absence. We ask that you please check pool status at least 24 hours prior to your class start and notify us of any change.

Make-up Class Info

  • We allow one complimentary make-up class per session (A or B), for any personal reason

  • If a participant must miss class for an extended time due to medical reasons, a credit may be applied with proper doctor documentation

  • Additional make-up classes are allowed at a $10 additional charge

  • Apply make-up tokens online in your member portal. These can be made with any open availability and is on first come, first serve basis

  • All make-up tokens must be used within 30 days before expiration

  • Future absences or requests to drop may be made online in your member portal

Billing

  • All classes operate on rolling enrollment every 3-month season (spring, summer, fall) with auto payments processed semi-monthly: Session A on the 1st and Session B on the 16th of each month. Statements are emailed three days prior to each billing cycle. Auto renewal payments reserve your spot with your designated coach throughout the season. You may drop your enrollment before the season's end given a required 7-day notice via email or by request in your Member Portal.

  • Charges each session are calculated based on the number of classes within each session's calendar period. Proration is made for registrations made after a session start.

  • There are no refunds given for missed classes. Please be responsible in dropping your enrollment in time or recording a future absence.
