KISO water Safety PROJECTS
KISO Swim School highly values the importance of giving back through the sport of swimming. Across the globe, drowning rates continue to rise at baffling figures much due to either the lack of education on swimming safety, insufficient funds to attend swim classes or the pure absence of a swim lesson program in the area.
According to National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death, reaching approximately 388,000 annual deaths worldwide. That is a boggling 10 deaths per day. Facts show 96% of this astonishing total comes from not only lower income families, but low- and middle- income countries. The average victim's age ranges from 1 to 14 years old. There are ways to decrease these devastating statistics via school education, in-water safety programs, and pool construction to name a few. KISO Swim School is dedicated to making a positive impact through the most secured prevention plan and you can be apart of it!

The KISO Water Safety Projects are designed to teach children across the globe the basics of learning how to survive in water through take-home packets and hands on swim clinics. Implementing Levels 1-4 from the KISO Swim School Progression Chart, each project strives to ensure the children successfully adapt to water safety skills that will not only potentially save their life, but offer a swimming experience to last a lifetime.
It is our goal to travel worldwide and share our knowledge of swimming through this unique program. At least every other year, KISO Swim School will have a new project in a different city. By bringing together schools, and hospitals to a designated venue, day clinics will be ran focusing on water safety, including movement & breath control, in addition to introducing the foundations of both Freestyle & Backstroke. Classes are taught efficiently covering all bases, as well as effectively, with techniques to fully engage children's interests. It is our goal to not only ensure each child has a blast while learning, but also provide proper skills so the experience of the sport will stay with them for a lifetime.
Stay tuned for the next KISO Swim Project in your backyard!
