FITNESS CHALLENGES

Working on fitness skills out of the water help bridge the gap between swimming knowledge and power. In all that we incorporate on dry land, it directly correlates to in the water. Core strength and flexibility are two huge factors that we focus on which contribute to the streamlined progress and overall success in the pool. To encourage our members and the outside community to see the importance of this, we have incorporated weekly fitness challenges. In addition, to help motivate all participants, a special prize will be mailed out to the challenge winner every week. 

To participate, you must be within the ages of 5 and 15 years old, as submissions will be divided up on 3 year age increments. Entering the challenge will simply entail completing the challenge to the best of your ability with a parent or legal guardian witness present, then submitting results through the application below. You are allowed one submission only for each weekly challenge. Please note, the witness must be the one to submit this information as the results will be verified by phone. Submissions must be made prior to 5pm EST every Friday.

March 23rd

WEEK OF

The longest plank position with proper form.

RULES: Back must flat at all times and knees are not allowed to touch the ground.

March 30th

WEEK OF

The most amount of squats with proper form in one minute.

RULES: Full range of motion, ensuring bottom comes down to 90* angle.
